What if kids could learn AI literacy by creating the games they love to play?
About KAI
At Kids AI Literacy (KAI), we believe kids should be creators, not just consumers, of the technologies shaping their world. By 2030, 85% of jobs will demand AI literacy—but right now, most kids only experience AI as passive users, whether they’re typing homework into ChatGPT or playing AI-generated games.
KAI flips that script. We’ve built a platform where kids can prompt AI to build them a custom game in Godot and refine it as much as they want. Along the way, they learn prompt engineering, AI ethics, and critical thinking—skills that empower them to question, understand, and create with AI.
We’re here to raise a generation ready to shape the future.
The Problem
Most kids are growing up surrounded by AI—but only as spectators. They see AI generating art, music, and games, but rarely get to peek under the hood.
Kids consume AI outputs but don’t learn how to question them.
They lack tools to create with AI in meaningful ways.
Schools often don’t teach AI literacy early enough to close this gap.
As AI becomes an essential part of every industry, this leaves a generation unprepared to actively participate in building the future.
Our Solution
KAI turns kids into AI creators by merging AI literacy with game development.
Kids prompt AI to build games in Godot, then refine and customize every detail.
They learn prompt engineering, exploring how language shapes AI outputs.
They discover AI ethics, understanding biases, fairness, and responsible use.
They build real, playable games—transforming ideas into creations they can share.
We’ve already validated our vision through an MVP pilot and partnerships with innovative programs like Stemful SF, theCoderSchool, and Oakland Tech High School. Now, we’re launching a Kickstarter and pre-seed round to bring KAI to even more young creators.
Join us in giving kids the tools—and confidence—to build the future with AI.
